RED EARTH LILI

Reconnecting you with self earth and spirit

Her experience in areas of indigenous land stewardship, herbalism, and energy healing coupled with her knowledge and practice in community mediation, and consensus make her a multifaceted and skillful wise woman. She believes that compassion, empathy, and reverence are critical guides in our interactions with all our relations, human or otherwise.

Born in Lenapehoking of immigrant parents from Colombia, S.A., Lili grew up immersed in the pace and priorities of city life. This dualism in cultural perspective helped Lili see early on that the mainstream North American lifestyle was unhealthy and dehumanizing. During college Lili decided to return to her family’s ancestral lands to study farming and deepen her relationship with her ethnic heritage.

Over the next decade Lili learned about growing not only plants but people, developing a personal healing practice rooted in her ancestral ways, starting a family and a self-sustaining forest farm in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Santa Marta, Colombia.

For three decades Lili's spititual path has led her to be involved in horizontally-run and multidisciplinary liberated spaces including educational centers, farms, organizations and other community, earth and spirit focused working groups spanning the American continent.

There she continued to rediscover, remember and implement her ancestral knowledge of care for self, community and earth. For over three decades she has been committed to recuperating ancestral traditions and holistic ways of living, learning and healing. She is devoted to her practice of Qi Gong, and Reiki Taoist meditation as well as following the lineage of her ancestral spiritual commitments as Faith Keeper and Sun Dancer.

Currently Lili’s work is in building bridges between the northern and southern American continent, creating opportunities for people to develop and deepen their knowledge and practice of spiritual land based liberation and sovereignty. Connecting her work in both north and south to the Land Back movements as well as participating from her vantage point in recuperating previously concealed Indigenous ceremonial knowledge and land stewardship practices.

She is member and co-founder of Waia Sie, an intentional and regenerative Muisca healing community in Fusagasuga, Colombia and member/co-founder of Hawk Mountain Earth Center, a spiritual land based healing and educational center located in northern NJ. Both initiatives aim to provide communities of the global majority with opportunities for experiential healing and learning through immersive earth connection. By way of farming, foraging, land stewardship, ceremony, dance, song and prayer, these projects offer communal and cooperative living and working experiences.

More recently Lili is co-founder of Indigenous Mothers Community Land Trust. IMCLT, a Federation of First Nation sovereignty earth workers, spiritual leaders and indigenous elders who have come together to facilitate land access and Rematriation.
